OBJECTIVE: Create a sculpture out of wire.

MEDIUM: Wire, black tulle.

PROCESS: The project created was a wire sculpture. The idea behind the design was to express the concept of the lightness of the material through the ballerina's gentle movement. There was a further push to express this idea of almost weightlessness through the motion she took through the use of material. The artist conceptualized a few different positions in order to express this general idea of the ballerina soft movements. Due to the final decision of the structure, the artist had to really idealize how to properly balance the piece which further pushed this balancing idea between the material and what we traditionally thing of a ballerina's movements.
